My name is Don Harris, the ‘d’ in front of dDesign Studios. I am a Boulder Colorado based designer/web developer with over 12 years of graphic and web design/development  experience, 25 years as a photographer and another 15 or so as a Computer Engineer. My philosophy in my work is very simple… try to maintain a healthy balance between functionality and visual impact, while seeing every aspect of the design (internal and external) as a work of art. Being a photographer for most of my adult life,  the visual is always a centerpiece of my design work.

I have many ‘tools’ in my toolbox so I’m well equipped for most jobs. I use pencil, paper, Photoshop and Illustrator in almost all my design work. For web development I use Coda, WordPress, PHP, jQuery, MySQL, or whatever it takes to create beautiful, usable, professional website. I maintain best practice accessibility and strictly follow the latest W3C web standards and SEO guidelines , resulting in well designed Web 2.0+, semantically correct and SEO friendly sites.

Most importantly, I’m a responsible and dedicated designer and developer who is passionate about my work.
